As part of its ongoing efforts to develop more sustainable products to support a low-carbon, circular economy, HP has introduced a series of new solutions and programs.

Among the announcements was an innovative tooling solution for manufacturers that produce molded fiber, which is typically made from recycled materials. The new HP Molded Fiber Advanced Tooling technologies enable fast and enhanced design and fabrication of high-performance molded fiber tooling. In addition, HP’s tooling is made from vegetable castor oil, a 100% renewable raw material, and HP enables 70% reuse of surplus material in the production of its tools.

HP launched the world’s easiest plotters for architects, engineers, construction, and home offices, which are also sustainable. The HP DesignJet T200 Printer series, HP DesignJet T600 series, and HP DesignJet Studio Printer series use up to 95% less ink for routine maintenance and are made with 30% recycled plastic. In addition, the HP DesignJet Studio Printer series is CarbonNeutral certified in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol.

HP also announced that it will plant one million trees by the end of 2020 through a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation that supports the World Economic Forum’s 1t.org U.S. initiative focused on conserving, restoring, and growing one trillion trees by 2030.
